Marrakech is the most natural departure for a first escape to Merzouga. Three days allow you to cross the Tizi n’Tichka pass, travel through southern landscapes and sleep in the dunes. The pace is brisk: it is a break, not a slow exploration.
If you have more time, we recommend making room for valleys and kasbahs rather than adding kilometres.
The route of a thousand kasbahs brings more depth to a Marrakech departure: red earth, palm groves, villages and desert follow one another with overnight stops that let you breathe.
