Erg Chebbi, near Merzouga, works well for a first Sahara trip and shorter routes from Marrakech. Erg Chigaga is wilder, farther from towns and better suited to a slower route from Agadir or the Draa Valley.
We begin with your dates, your comfort with driving time and what you want to feel once there. That determines the right desert — not a dune photograph alone.
Your vehicle and driver are reserved for your group. You can lengthen a stop, choose a simpler or more comfortable address, and leave room for a walk, tea or an unexpected encounter.
Three-day routes are a genuine escape, but they involve long driving days. From six days onward, the south can be explored with more breathing room.

Three days allow a short immersion from Marrakech or Agadir. To include valleys, kasbahs and an extra night without rushing, allow six to eight days.
Merzouga is easier to reach from Marrakech. Erg Chigaga is more remote and suits a longer route, often from Agadir or the Draa Valley.
