A route shaped with you
Fez connects northern medinas, imperial cities and the roads that descend to the Sahara. It is an excellent starting point if you prefer crossing Morocco to retracing your steps.
From Fez, the medina, Volubilis, Meknes and Chefchaouen can form a cultural route without long driving days. It is a good choice if you seek cities, history and gentler stages.
Duration determines the right balance: it is better to choose a few places and experience them than tick off the entire north too quickly.
Fez can also become the beginning of a crossing to the desert and Marrakech. This route needs more days, but it draws a highly contrasting Morocco: Middle Atlas cedars, valleys, dunes and the High Atlas.
We will state the driving days clearly before building the itinerary. It is the best way to choose between a grand crossing and a journey focused on the north.
