1 / 6

Less than an hour from Agadir, the road leaves the ocean behind and winds through argan trees, villages and ochre hills. After a short walk along a sometimes rocky path, the gorge opens onto the palms and natural pools of Paradise Valley. There is time to explore, relax beside the water and swim when conditions allow before returning to Agadir.

How the experience unfolds

  1. Morning

Pick-up from your accommodation in Agadir

Your driver collects you from your hotel or riad. We favour a morning departure for cooler temperatures and to reach the valley before the afternoon groups.

  2. Around 1 hour

Scenic drive into the Atlas foothills

The road passes through Aourir and the Souss countryside, among argan trees, palms, villages and gorges. Stops give you time to enjoy the views and learn about the region from your guide.

  3. Along the way

    Botanical garden and argan

Make a short stop at a botanical garden and local co-operative to discover regional plants and how argan oil is prepared. Any purchases are entirely optional.

  4. 20–30 minutes

    Walk to the pools

From the parking area, follow your guide down a path into the gorge. The walk is short, but the ground is uneven, with stones, a few steep sections and a more demanding climb on the way back.

  5. Free time

    The pools of Paradise Valley

Choose your own pace: explore the rocks, take photographs, rest beneath the palms or enter the water when its level and quality allow. The pools are natural and change with the seasons and rainfall.

  6. Late morning

    Return to Agadir

After walking back up to the vehicle, follow the mountain road back to your accommodation in Agadir. The full outing lasts around five hours.
